Docs Site Privacy Notice

This notice describes the personal information that the Catalpas Atelier documentation site at docs.catalpasatelier.com collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It supplements — but does not replace — our main Privacy Policy, which governs your Catalpas Atelier account, subscriptions, and the desktop software you download under that account.

1. Scope​

This notice covers only the documentation subdomain. It does not apply to:

  • catalpasatelier.com (account creation, subscriptions, downloads, billing),
  • blog.catalpasatelier.com (newsletter and blog),
  • the Catalpas Atelier desktop applications themselves (currently Catalpas Atelier Scribe and Catalpas Atelier Scroll).

2. The documentation site has no accounts​

You do not sign in to read these docs. We do not host comments, contact forms, or any feature that lets you submit personal data to us through this subdomain. If you write to us, please use the contact details on the Contact page — that mailbox is governed by our main Privacy Policy, not this notice.

3. What we collect on this site​

When you visit a page, our content delivery network and our analytics providers may receive technical information that is standard for any website:

  • IP address and approximate region,
  • browser and operating-system identifier (user-agent),
  • pages viewed, time on page, referring page,
  • device characteristics such as screen size and language preference,
  • cookies and similar identifiers (see the Cookie Policy for the full list).

Where it is feasible, our analytics providers truncate IP addresses before storing them.

We show a cookie banner the first time you visit. Until you make a choice, we load only essential storage — your language preference and the record of your consent decision. We do not run analytics or marketing tags before you opt in.

If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate page usage. If you accept marketing, we additionally load the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Reddit Pixel so we can measure the performance of campaigns that drive readers to our docs. You can change your decision at any time from the cookie preferences link in the footer. See the Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies and their durations.

5. Third parties on this site​

  • Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 (only when you have accepted analytics cookies). Data may be processed in the United States and the European Union.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — Facebook Pixel (only when you have accepted marketing cookies). Data may be processed in the United States and the European Union.
  • Reddit, Inc. — Reddit Pixel (only when you have accepted marketing cookies). Data may be processed in the United States.
  • Content delivery network and hosting providers — handle the delivery of the site and the redirects between subdomains.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use any data collected on this site to train AI models.

6. Legal bases (EEA / UK)​

Where the EU GDPR or the UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Consent for analytics and marketing cookies (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time through the cookie preferences link.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for essential operations of the documentation site, such as serving pages, protecting against abuse, and remembering your consent decision.

7. Your rights​

Subject to your local law, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict our processing of your personal information, to receive a portable copy of it, to withdraw consent, or to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Send requests to privacy@catalpasatelier.com.

8. Retention​

The Docs consent record is stored only in this subdomain's localStorage for up to 12 months. It is separate from choices made on the Official Site or Blog. Analytics and marketing data follow our configured provider settings and the relevant provider's retention rules. Our server logs are retained for a limited period required to deliver pages, detect abuse, and fix problems.

9. Changes to this notice​
