Image export

Image export is available on every Scribe plan. Use it to create fixed-size pages for sharing or a single long image for continuous reading.

Choose an export mode

Open Image preview, then choose an Export Mode in the right sidebar:

ModeResult
Paged imagesOne image for each preview page.
Long imageOne tall image containing the selected document.

You can also set the image format, dimensions, Image Background, and Appearance in the right sidebar.

Export images

  1. Switch the preview to Image.
  2. In the right sidebar, choose Paged images or Long image, then set the image dimensions and choose PNG or JPEG.
  3. On the preview toolbar, open Choose export scope and select one of the available ranges:
    • Current Page for the page shown in a paged preview;
    • Current Document for the open document;
    • Selected files for documents selected in the file tree;
    • All Compilable for documents currently included in the compilation.
  4. Select Export image or Export long image.
  5. Choose where to save the result when prompted.

Scribe bases exported filenames on document titles and adds page numbers when needed. When an export produces several images, Scribe may save them together in a ZIP archive.

Check the result

Open the exported image or ZIP archive and confirm that:

  • page order and line breaks are correct;
  • images and backgrounds are present;
  • the dimensions and file format match the intended destination;
  • the watermark setting is appropriate for the selected plan and use.

For a reflowable reading file, see EPUB export.
