Global settings

Global settings are app-level preferences that apply to every project. Open them from Function > Global Settings…, or the Global settings entry at the bottom of the left sidebar.

Language​

Switch the interface language.

Saving​

  • Auto Save toggle;
  • Save interval: 10s / 30s / 1m / 2m / 5m.

Export location​

Set the default export folder (desktop, with a path picker).

Global unit​

Choose the length unit: millimetres (mm), inches, or pixels (px).

Appearance (theme)​

Ten interface themes are available: Catalpas Atelier, Light, Dark, System, Typewriter, Cyberpunk, Vaporwave, Mint, Rose, and Sky.

Changing the theme only affects the app interface — it does not change preview or export output. The look of your finished work is governed by the appearance library, master pages and similar tools.

Data export & import​

Export a ZIP with Settings only or Settings + libraries. Libraries can include global master pages, user page templates, and global Appearances. Import the ZIP on another device and choose how to handle duplicate items.

This backup does not include Project files. Back up each Project separately, and add custom fonts again on the new device. See Project management → Back up.

CJK vertical punctuation substitution​

Maintain a set of punctuation replacement pairs for vertical typesetting. Pairs are editable and can be reset to the defaults. Works together with CJK vertical.

  • Keyboard shortcuts: Function > Keyboard Shortcuts….
  • Check for updates: Help → Check for updates… (the auto-update frequency is set in the update dialog, not in global settings).
