Works workspace

Works describes what the Project is producing, which manuscript version is the approved source, and which source Scribe should read. It does not duplicate prose or typeset a publication inside Scroll.

Four tabs​

  • Project Workspace: the Project name, kind, primary language, authors, series, and summary.
  • Works: one or more works, each work's stable slug, and its manuscript versions.
  • Publish Versions: approved manuscript sources and versions intended for publication.
  • Delivery Center: the destination, delivery profiles, Source folder, Delivery readiness, and delivery-confirmation history.

Project Workspace, Works, Publish Versions, delivery profiles, version selection, preview, and readiness are included with Free. Adding a new delivery confirmation to the history requires Plus or Pro. It does not copy or transfer manuscript files.

Selection and details​

After you select a work or version, the details area shows its source path, version label, and related status. Editing a registration does not copy, freeze, or typeset prose. See Manage works, manuscript versions, and approved sources for the complete workflow.

Delivery Center boundaries​

This manual covers the current Scribe preparation workflow in Prepare a manuscript for Scribe.

If Works becomes read-only, back up the complete Project and follow the message in Scroll or contact Support. Do not bypass Scroll to edit its Project-management information directly.
