Templates workspace
Templates define the properties, relationships, content sections, and creation-form fields available in visual cards.
Four tabs
- Entity Templates: characters, locations, organizations, and other entities.
- Event Templates: events and fields such as dates, participants, and locations.
- Relation Templates: explicit relationship types and directions.
- Writing Templates: text files with a prepared structure.
Template sources

Built-in templates and cards are included with Free. Free and Plus can use an existing custom template to create a file, and can read and preserve advanced content already present in a Project. Creating or editing Global or Project template, property, relationship, and visual-structure definitions requires Pro.
Editor
With Pro, the template editor can define stable property names, display names, data types, choices, relationships, content sections, and creation-form order. Changing only a display name does not migrate an existing field.
