Search workspace
Search finds file content and searchable information across the current Project. It differs from filtering the Project tree or using Quick Open File, which are better for navigation by file name or path.
Search fields
Enter a term in Any to match titles, body text, paths, tags, types, categories, status, characters, locations, and other searchable information.
To narrow the results, add values to Title, Body, Path, Tag, Type, Category, Status, Person, or Location. Scroll combines non-empty fields to restrict the result set.
There is currently no independent date-range filter. You can search for date text as a general term, but this does not calculate an inclusive start-to-end range.
Results
The result table shows Title, Type, Status, Tags, People, Location, and Path. A text excerpt may appear beneath the title. Opening a result opens the local file; Search does not create a copy. To return to the full result set, clear Any and every other search field.
If results are missing
Confirm that the file belongs to the current Project, uses a supported format, and has been saved. After many changes are made outside Scroll, results can take a short time to update. For a complete research workflow, see Collect research, add citations, and search.
