Sign in to Scroll

Scroll requires sign-in. Free is the basic plan available after your account is verified; it is not an anonymous offline mode.

If you need to register, have only used Google sign-in on the website, or need to reset your password, see Account and registration. If you use Scribe and Scroll, also see Sign in to Scribe and Scroll.

Sign in with email​

  1. Enter your account email address and password on the sign-in screen.
  2. Select Sign In.
  3. If Scroll asks you to complete a web security check, finish it in your browser, return to Scroll, and try again with the same account.
  4. After sign-in, Scroll confirms the current plan and displays the Project entry screen.

Do not store passwords or verification codes inside a Project. Before sharing a screenshot with Support, conceal your email address and other personal information.

Work briefly without a connection​

After Scroll confirms a paid plan online, paid features can remain available offline for up to 24 hours. If Plus or Pro features become unavailable, reconnect and select Refresh plan in Account. Local files are not deleted when this happens.

If you forgot your password or cannot sign in​

  • Use Forgot password? on the sign-in screen to open the official password-reset page.
  • If a security check appears, complete the web flow and then return to the desktop app.
  • Confirm that the computer's date and time are correct. A substantially incorrect system clock can interfere with sign-in.
  • Do not create multiple Projects to troubleshoot an account problem. Project folders and account status are separate.

Sign out​

Select Sign out in Account. Scroll returns to the sign-in screen but does not delete the Project folder you selected.

On a shared device, sign out before leaving and keep Projects in a local folder with appropriate access permissions.
